RDP introduction

Redispersible Polymer Powder (RDP) is a versatile dry powder material that forms a flexible polymer film when mixed with water. This high-performance additive is manufactured through spray-drying of polymer emulsions, resulting in a free-flowing powder that easily redisperses in water-based systems. Key characteristics include excellent adhesion, water resistance, and flexibility, making it an essential component in modern construction materials.

Main Applications:
• Tile adhesives and grouts for enhanced bonding strength
• Self-leveling floor compounds to improve flow characteristics
• External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems (ETICS)
• Repair and restoration mortars for crack bridging
• Cement-based waterproofing membranes
• Decorative and protective coatings
• Gypsum-based products for improved performance
• Fiber cement boards for better durability

RDP POLY 805

Product Characteristics:
POLY 805 is an EVA-based redispersible polymer powder with a moderate Tg of 5°C, offering an optimal balance between:
✔ Flexibility (for crack resistance and substrate movement accommodation)
✔ Adhesion strength (excellent bonding to various substrates)

Recommended Application:

  • Wall putty & skim coats (primary use, similar to Vinnapas® 5010N)
  • Lightweight repair mortars
  • Other cement-based formulations requiring balanced workability and cohesion

RDP POLY 810

POLY 810 is a high-performance redispersible polymer powder with a Tg of 10°C, engineered to deliver:
✔ Exceptional adhesion strength (ideal for bonded applications)
✔ Superior water resistance (reduced permeability in cured mortars)
✔ Optimized flexibility/stiffness balance (Tg-tuned for structural integrity)

Primary Applications:

  • Tile adhesives (enhanced shear bond strength, comparable to Vinnapas® 5044N)
  • ETICS bonding mortars (for insulation boards in exterior systems)
  • Waterproofing slurries
  • High-strength repair mortars
